My name is Fahad and I've been helping students to maximise their academic potential and excel in maths since 2006.

I read Mathematics at Corpus Christi College, Oxford, graduating with an MMath in 2011. I've been tutoring since I was in sixth form, with sixteen years of experience. I have learned what works and what doesn't, and I prefer to keep things simple.

Just about the first thing people say to me when they find out I tutor maths for a living is "I hated maths in school" or "I was rubbish at maths in school". Maths has an unfair reputation for being the most diabolical of school subjects. But it doesn't have to be that way!

If there is a secret to being good at maths, it's practice and a patient teacher. The practice is down to you, but I can help with the rest. In principle, it's no different to learning a skill like carpentry. There certainly isn't any 'talent' involved; anyone can do maths well.

I understand that each student has a unique learning style and study habits, and that it can sometimes be difficult to receive the one-on-one support they need in the classroom, especially with the disruption to all our lives that the last few years have brought. That's why I cater my tutoring to the particular needs and circumstances of each individual.
